Ivy's Crown Hair Care

Becoming natural is something I never considered. For the past 25 years, I endured countless hair relaxers. All the women in my family had long hair, and not knowing how to manage their naturally beautiful kinky curls, we opted for chemical relaxers. My grandmother was the only one out of our family to rock her natural hair with pride. I admired her so much for how proud she was of her hair, and how she kept it. Many nights, I watched her comb, grease and style her hair. She made maintaining natural hair look so easy.

Overtime, I started to notice the damage to my hair caused by the chemical relaxers. My hair started thinning and one morning, I woke up with no edges. I was losing my hair! I didn't know what to do but I knew something had to change.

Going natural was not easy. Coming from straight hair into kinky curls was some what of a nightmare. I never knew what my real hair texture was or what it would even look like. All my life I had long hair never experience short hair that was even more frighten.

I finally found the courage to let go of the old hair and start over, but this time I wanted to try Granny Ivy’s method. I started with olive oil then experimenting by adding other natural ingredients.

Going back to natural has helped me to embrace my hair so much more. In honor of Grandma Ivy, Ivy’s crown was born.

My crown products are to help those who are struggling to upkeep their crown. I’m a naturalist with 3 different hair types 3B, 3C and 4A. I know I’m not the only naturalist with more than one hair type. This is why my products are for all hair types, age ain’t nothing but a number. My crown needs all the natural love out there and so does yours.
